Ballad of the Rats
The NET was developed 140 years ago by Tales Sillian. It is was designed to be a wireless network HUB that could be accessed from anywhere in the world by connecting to a huge NODE satellite. Unfortunately after many failed attempts, the project was on the verge on bankruptcy and the almost discarded. Sillian eventually partnered with HOMELIFE IND. and the project was refunded, however Instead of a satellite, a smaller version of the NODE was sold commercially. The wireless connection range varies depending on the size and power of the NODE. The Project was a success and is regarded as one of the greatest technological achievements in history. Today most of the credit for it’s creation is tied to to HOMELIFE IND. while Sillian is mostly credited as someone who simply assisted in its creation.
